Main Ingredients and Their Benefits:
- Glycolic Acid (5.5%): gently exfoliates by dissolving the “glue” between dead skin cells, smoothing skin texture, reducing dullness, refining pores, and stimulating collagen renewal.
- Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil): Creates an occlusive barrier to lock in moisture, prevent trans-epidermal water loss, and maintain hydration during exfoliation.
- Ammonia: pH adjuster (buffering agent) to maintain acidity for the glycolic acid to act effectively while preserving skin tolerance.
- Palmitic Acid & Stearic Acid: Fatty acids that act as emollients and help reinforce skin barrier, providing mild occlusion and softness.
Precautions:
- Use only in the evening, 2–3 nights per week (not nightly for beginners).
- Avoid the eye area and lips.
- Always wear broad-spectrum sunscreen daily, especially whilst using the product and for one week after stopping it.
- Do not combine with other strong exfoliants (chemical or physical).
- Do not apply to sensitive, broken, or recently shaved skin.
- Perform a patch test 24 h prior (e.g., inside elbow).
- Avoid use during summer or on sunburned skin.
- Not recommended during pregnancy or for children under 12 unless cleared by a physician.
