A medication used to manage overactive bladder symptoms by reducing involuntary bladder contractions, increasing bladder storage capacity, and improving urinary control. It works by selectively inhibiting muscarinic receptors in the bladder, helping to prevent sudden urges to urinate, reduce urinary frequency, and decrease the risk of accidental leakage.
Indications:
- Treatment of overactive bladder symptoms, including urgency and frequency.
- Reduces the risk of urinary incontinence caused by an overactive bladder.
- Increases bladder capacity and improves patient quality of life related to urinary symptoms.
Main Active Ingredient:
- Solifenacin Succinate 5 mg.
Precautions:
- Do not take Vesicare if you have urinary retention, severe gastrointestinal conditions (e.g., toxic megacolon), myasthenia gravis, uncontrolled glaucoma, severe liver disease, severe kidney disease, or if you are undergoing kidney dialysis.
- Consult your doctor before use if you have moderate liver disease, mild kidney disease, stomach obstruction, autonomic neuropathy, or other urinary issues.
- Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, including prescription, non-prescription, herbal, and nutritional supplements.
- Not recommended for children or adolescents under 18 years.
- Avoid use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically advised by a healthcare professional.
- May cause blurred vision, drowsiness, or dizziness; avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.
- Contains lactose; do not use if you have rare hereditary problems with galactose intolerance.

- Ketoconazole, ritonavir, nelfinavir, itraconazole, verapamil, or diltiazem may increase Vesicare levels.
- Rifampicin, phenytoin, or carbamazepine may decrease Vesicare levels.
- Use caution with bisphosphonates that may cause or worsen esophagitis.
