A fixed-dose combination antihypertensive medication containing an angiotensin II receptor blocker, a calcium channel blocker, and a thiazide diuretic. It provides effective blood pressure control in patients requiring triple therapy, reducing cardiovascular risks associated with uncontrolled hypertension.
Indications:
- Management of essential hypertension in patients not adequately controlled with dual therapy.
- Reduction of blood pressure to help prevent complications such as stroke, heart attack, and kidney damage.
- Suitable for patients who benefit from the convenience of a single-tablet triple combination.
Main Active Ingredients:
- Amlodipine 5 mg.
- Valsartan 160 mg.
- Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg.
Precautions:
- Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component.
- Avoid in severe hepatic impairment, severe renal impairment, or anuria.
- Not recommended during pregnancy (risk of fetal toxicity) or breastfeeding.
- Monitor electrolytes (especially potassium, sodium) and kidney function regularly.
- Use with caution in patients with:
- Heart failure or left ventricular dysfunction.
- Severe dehydration or volume depletion.
- Gout or hyperuricemia.
