Mounjaro is a once-weekly, subcutaneous injection that contains tirzepatide, a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist. The 12.5 mg strength is commonly used as the third dose. The pre-filled, single-use pen is designed for at-home administration with a simple, discreet injection experience when used exactly as prescribed.

- Use only as prescribed by your healthcare professional and read the patient leaflet for device-specific steps before your first injection.
- Dose and schedule: Inject once every week on the same day each week, at any time of day, with or without food. Your prescriber will decide if and when your dose changes after the 2.5 mg start.
- Where to inject: Inject into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm (subcutaneous tissue). Rotate injection sites each week to avoid irritation. Do not inject into tender, bruised, scarred, or hardened skin.
- Missed dose: If 4 or fewer days have passed since your missed dose: Take the missed dose right away. Continue with your usual weekly dosing schedule. If more than 4 days have passed since your missed dose: Skip the missed dose and take your next weekly dose at the scheduled time. In any case, be sure to wait at least 3 days (72 hours) between Mounjaro injections. If you have questions about a missed dose, call your doctor or pharmacist.
- Storage: Keep pens in the refrigerator (2–8 °C) in the original carton to protect from light. Do not freeze.
