A medication used to treat chronic bowel inflammation by gradually releasing an anti-inflammatory agent along the intestinal wall, providing prolonged therapeutic effects at the site of inflammation.
Indications:
- Treatment of active mild to moderate ulcerative colitis.
- Treatment of active Crohn’s disease.
- Maintenance of remission in ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.
- Relief of symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, and rectal bleeding.
Main Active Ingredients:
Mesalazine 1gm per tablet.
Precautions:
- Do not use if allergic to mesalazine, salicylates, or any excipients.
- Use caution if you have severe liver or kidney disorders, asthma, or a history of sulfasalazine allergy.
- Blood and urine tests may be required during treatment to monitor kidney function.
- Drink adequate fluids while taking this medication to prevent kidney stones.
- Stop treatment and consult a doctor if serious skin reactions, myocarditis, pericarditis, or severe blood abnormalities occur.
- Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Store at room temperature, away from moisture and heat.
