A medication is used to prevent and treat blood clots by inhibiting thrombin, thereby reducing the risk of stroke, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and clot recurrence.

Indications:
- Prevention of blood clots in the veins after knee or hip replacement surgery in adults.
- Reduction of stroke risk in adults with non-valvular atrial fibrillation.
- Treatment of blood clots in the veins of the legs and lungs.
- Prevention of recurrent blood clots in the veins of the legs and/or lungs.

Main Active Ingredient:
- Dabigatran Etexilate 75mg.

Precautions:
- Not suitable for individuals with active bleeding or severe kidney impairment.
- Avoid use if you have liver disease or an increased tendency to bleed.
- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Inform your doctor if you have had recent surgery, stomach ulcers, or a history of intracranial bleeding.
- Regular monitoring is advised in elderly patients and those with kidney or liver issues.

Side Effects:
- Bruising or nosebleeds.
- Indigestion, stomach pain, or diarrhea.
- Rash, itchy skin, or hair loss.
- Fatigue, dizziness, or anemia.
- Rare but serious bleeding events, including blood in urine, stools, or severe internal bleeding.

Drug-Drug Interactions:
- Other anticoagulants such as Warfarin, Rivaroxaban, Apixaban, and Heparin.
- NSAIDs including Aspirin, Ibuprofen, and Diclofenac.
- Antiplatelet agents such as Clopidogrel, Ticagrelor, and Prasugrel.
- Antifungal agents, including Ketoconazole and Itraconazole.
- Immunosuppressants such as Ciclosporin and Tacrolimus.
- Certain antibiotics such as Clarithromycin and Rifampicin.
- HIV medicines including Ritonavir, Lopinavir, and Saquinavir.
- Herbal products such as St. John’s Wort.
