A delayed-release capsule that helps relax the muscles of the prostate and urethra. It works by facilitating easier urine flow in men, which improves symptoms associated with urinary obstruction.
Indications:
- Treatment of difficulties associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
- Improvement of urine flow and reduction of urinary symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and dribbling.
- Relief of urinary obstruction caused by an enlarged prostate.
Main Active Ingredient:
- Tamsulosin Hydrochloride.
Precautions:
- Do not use if allergic to tamsulosin or any other ingredients.
- Consult your doctor before use if you have severe liver or kidney problems.
- Inform your doctor if planning cataract or glaucoma surgery due to risk of Floppy Iris Syndrome.
- Regular medical check-ups are necessary for long-term use.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Side Effects:
- Dizziness, difficulties with ejaculation, and cloudy urine following sexual climax.
- Headache, palpitations, orthostatic hypotension, rhinitis, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rash, itching, hives, weakness.
- Short-term loss of consciousness (syncope), angioedema.
Drug–Drug Interactions:
- Diclofenac may increase the clearance of tamsulosin, reducing its effectiveness.
- Warfarin may increase the clearance of tamsulosin, reducing its effectiveness.
- Concomitant use with other α1A-adrenoceptor blockers (e.g., alfuzosin, silodosin) may increase the risk of low blood pressure and dizziness.
- Ketoconazole may decrease the elimination of tamsulosin, increasing its effects.
- Erythromycin may decrease the elimination of tamsulosin, increasing its effects.
