An ophthalmic solution used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure in patients with glaucoma by inhibiting carbonic anhydrase in the eye.
Indications:
- Reduces elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma.
- Helps manage the progression of open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
Main Active Ingredient:
- Dorzolamide 2% w/v
Precautions:
- Remove contact lenses before administration.
- Wait at least 15 minutes after using products containing benzalkonium chloride before reinserting lenses.
- Separate use from other eye products by at least 5 minutes.
- Avoid touching the tip of the container to any surface.
- Keep refrigerated.
Side Effects:
- Mild burning, stinging, or discomfort in the eye.
- Blurred vision or eye irritation.
- Rare allergic reactions including redness, itching, or swelling.
