A medication used for the acute treatment of migraine headaches, working by narrowing dilated blood vessels in the brain and relieving headache pain along with associated symptoms.
Indications:
- Acute treatment of migraine with or without aura.
Main Active Ingredient:
- Zolmitriptan 2.5 mg.
Precautions:
- Do not use if you have uncontrolled hypertension, severe heart disease, or a history of stroke.
- Avoid use if allergic to zolmitriptan or any tablet ingredient.
- Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Not recommended in children under 12 years.
- Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney impairment.

Drug-Drug Interactions:
- Avoid concurrent use with other triptans such as sumatriptan, rizatriptan, naratriptan, almotriptan, eletriptan, and frovatriptan.
- Do not use with ergotamine-containing medicines such as ergotamine, dihydroergotamine, and methysergide, as this may increase the risk of blood vessel spasm.
- Inform your doctor if taking SSRIs such as fluoxetine, paroxetine, sertraline, citalopram, or escitalopram, or SNRIs such as venlafaxine or duloxetine, as these may increase the risk of serotonin syndrome.
- Do not use with MAO inhibitors such as moclobemide or selegiline, or within two weeks of stopping them.
- Place one tablet on the tongue and allow it to dissolve.
- It can be taken without water.
- Take as soon as migraine symptoms start.
- Do not exceed 10 mg in 24 hours.
- Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully.
