A topical antibiotic ointment used to treat superficial skin infections caused by susceptible bacteria. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, preventing growth and spread. Suitable for adults and children under medical supervision for mild to moderate skin infections.
Indications:
- Treatment of boils and skin abscesses
- Infections from cuts and abrasions
- Secondary infections in eczema or burns
Active Ingredient:
- Fusidic Acid
Precautions:
- For external use only, avoid contact with eyes or mouth
- Wash hands before and after application
- Do not use for extended periods without medical advice
Side Effects:
- Redness or itching at the application site
- Localized skin rash
- Mild irritation or burning sensation
Drug Interactions:
- Avoid concurrent use with topical corticosteroids unless prescribed
- Do not use with other topical antibiotics containing similar ingredients
