A histamine analogue that acts as a histamine H1 agonist and H3 antagonist. It improves blood flow in the inner ear, reducing endolymphatic pressure and thereby relieving symptoms of Ménière’s disease such as vertigo, tinnitus, and hearing loss.
Indications:
- Management of Ménière’s disease.
- Relief of vertigo associated with vestibular disorders.
- Reduction of tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
- Improvement of hearing loss episodes related to inner ear dysfunction.
Main Active Ingredient:
- Betahistine dihydrochloride 8 mg (per tablet).
Precautions:
- Contraindicated in patients with pheochromocytoma.
- Use with caution in patients with:
- Bronchial asthma.
- Peptic ulcer disease or history of gastrointestinal disorders.
- Monitor closely in patients with hypotension.
- Not recommended in children under 18 years (safety not established).
- Use during pregnancy and lactation only if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician.
