The drug is used as a bronchodilator.
For the treatment of shortness of breath associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema.

Atrovent dosage for adults and children over 12 years:
250 to 500 mcg 3 or 4 times daily.
Atrovent 250 dosage for children:
6 to 12 years: 250 mcg, up to 1 mg.
Children from birth to 5 years (for treatment of crisis cases only): 125 to 250 micrograms. The time between each dose should not be less than 6 hours, and the daily dose should not exceed 1 mg per day.

Ipratropium bromide. Excipients: lactose monohydrate; microcrystalline cellulose; croscarmellose sodium; povidone; magnesium stearate; film coat agents. (Typical for tablets).
