An antidiuretic medication that contains desmopressin, a synthetic analogue of vasopressin. It reduces urine production and is used in the management of conditions associated with excessive urination and thirst.

Indications:
- Primary nocturnal enuresis (bedwetting) in patients over 6 years old.
- Nocturia due to nocturnal polyuria in adults.
- Central diabetes insipidus.
- Management of cranial diabetes insipidus following head injury or surgery.

Main Active Ingredient:
- Desmopressin acetate 60 mcg.

Precautions:
- Should be prescribed and monitored by a healthcare professional.
- Risk of water intoxication and hyponatremia if fluid intake is not restricted.
- Contraindicated in patients with moderate to severe kidney impairment (creatinine clearance < 50 mL/min).
- Contraindicated in patients with hyponatremia or history of hyponatremia.
- Use with caution in elderly patients, those with cardiovascular disease, cystic fibrosis, or conditions associated with fluid/electrolyte imbalance.
- Avoid alcohol during treatment, as it can reduce the effect.
- Not recommended for children under 6 years of age.

- Administered as an oral lyophilisate (melt tablet) that dissolves on the tongue without the need for water.
- Recommended to take without food, as food can reduce absorption.
- For nocturnal enuresis: usually taken once daily at bedtime.
- For nocturia or diabetes insipidus: dosing individualized by physician based on response and monitoring.
- Fluid intake should be restricted from 1 hour before until 8 hours after dosing to minimize risk of water intoxication.
- Treatment duration and dose adjustments must be guided by a physician with regular monitoring of sodium levels.
