A medication used to prevent and treat blood clots by selectively inhibiting factor Xa, thereby reducing thrombin generation and indirectly decreasing thrombin-induced platelet aggregation.
Indications:
- Prevention of blood clots following surgeries, such as joint replacement.
- Reduction of stroke risk in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation.
- Treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and prevention of recurrence.
- Improvement of blood circulation and prevention of clot formation.
Main Active Ingredient:
- Rivaroxaban 15 mg.
Precautions:
- Do not use in patients with active bleeding or hypersensitivity to Rivaroxaban.
- Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney impairment.
- Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Inform your physician of all medications being taken to avoid drug interactions.
- Store at room temperature.
- Keep the container tightly closed.
- Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Side Effects:
- Nosebleeds or bleeding from gums.
- Dizziness, fatigue, or general weakness.
- Nausea or gastrointestinal disturbances.
- Unusual bruising.
- Severe or unexpected symptoms should be reported to a physician immediately.
Drug–Drug Interactions:
- Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as Ibuprofen.
- Other anticoagulants such as Warfarin.
- Antifungal medications such as Ketoconazole.
- Always inform your doctor of all current medications to prevent interactions.
- Follow the doctor's instructions.
- Take once daily, preferably at the same time each day.
- Swallow the tablet whole with a sufficient amount of water.
- Duration of treatment depends on the patient’s condition and the doctor’s instructions.
- Use only under medical supervision.
