A medication used to treat inflammatory bowel disease by reducing intestinal inflammation, thereby relieving abdominal pain, diarrhea, and rectal bleeding while maintaining remission.Indications:- Treatment of mildly to moderately active ulcerative colitis.- Maintenance of remission in ulcerative colitis.- Maintenance of remission of Crohn's ileocolitis and other forms of inflammatory bowel disease.Main Active Ingredient:- Mesalazine 1 g.Precautions:- Regular monitoring of kidney and liver function is recommended during treatment.- Not suitable for individuals allergic to mesalazine, salicylates, or sulfasalazine.- Use with caution in patients with asthma, heart conditions, or renal impairment.- Ensure adequate fluid intake to reduce the risk of kidney stones.Side Effects:- Headache or dizziness.- Nausea, vomiting, or abdominal discomfort.- Rash, itching, or allergic skin reactions.- Rare cases of blood disorders, liver or kidney problems.Drug-Drug Interactions:- Anticoagulants such as warfarin.- Immunosuppressants such as azathioprine, 6-mercaptopurine, or thioguanine.- Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).- Methotrexate and sulfonylureas.- Certain diuretics such as spironolactone and furosemide.
