A gonadotrophin-based fertility medication containing highly purified human menopausal gonadotrophin (hMG). It is used to stimulate ovarian follicle growth in women undergoing fertility treatment and to promote sperm production in men with specific hormonal deficiencies.

Indications:
- Treatment of women with anovulation (including polycystic ovary syndrome) unresponsive to clomiphene citrate.
- Controlled ovarian hyperstimulation in assisted reproductive techniques (e.g., IVF, ICSI).
- Induction of spermatogenesis in men with hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, usually in combination with hCG.

Main Active Ingredient:
- Human Menopausal Gonadotrophin (hMG).

Precautions:
- To be prescribed and monitored only by fertility specialists.
- Increased risk of Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS), particularly in women with PCOS.
- Risk of multiple pregnancy if not properly monitored.
- Contraindicated in women with ovarian, uterine, breast, or testicular tumors.
- Contraindicated in cases of unexplained vaginal bleeding, ovarian cysts not related to PCOS, or primary ovarian/testicular failure.
- Caution in patients with history of thromboembolic disorders, severe uncontrolled thyroid/adrenal dysfunction.

Drug-Drug Interactions:

- Supplied as powder and solvent (1 vial powder + 1 ampoule solvent).
- Must be reconstituted immediately before injection.
- Administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly, usually once daily.
- Dosage is individualized according to the patient’s response, monitored with ultrasound and hormone tests.
- In women: treatment continues until adequate follicular development, followed by hCG injection to trigger ovulation.
- In men: given together with hCG for several months to stimulate sperm production.
- Should only be injected by trained personnel or by patients properly instructed by healthcare professionals.
