        ,A combination medication used to control high blood pressure. It contains Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker; Valsartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist; and Hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic. Together, these components help relax blood vessels, reduce fluid retention, and lower blood pressure effectively.
Indications:
- Treatment of essential hypertension.
- Management of high blood pressure not adequately controlled by monotherapy or dual therapy.
- Reduction of cardiovascular risks associated with hypertension.
Main Active Ingredients:
- Amlodipine Besylate equivalent to Amlodipine 10 mg.
- Valsartan 160 mg.
- Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg.
Precautions:
- Do not use if you are allergic to any of the active ingredients.
- Consult your doctor if you have liver, kidney, or heart problems.
- Avoid use during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy.
- Inform your physician if you are taking potassium supplements or salt substitutes.
- Do not stop the medication abruptly without medical advice.
Side Effects:
- Dizziness or lightheadedness.
- Swelling of ankles or feet.
- Headache.
- Fatigue.
- Nausea.
- Increased urination.
Drug–Drug Interactions:
- Concurrent use with other antihypertensive agents such as Enalapril, Metoprolol, or Atenolol may enhance blood pressure-lowering effects.
- Avoid use with Lithium carbonate due to the risk of lithium toxicity.
- NSAIDs such as Ibuprofen, Naproxen, or Diclofenac may reduce the antihypertensive effect of Valsartan.
