An antiarrhythmic medication containing Amiodarone hydrochloride, designed to help restore and maintain a regular heart rhythm in patients with certain serious heart rhythm disorders.
Indications:
- Treatment of severe ventricular arrhythmias.
- Prevention and management of atrial fibrillation.
- Control of supraventricular tachycardia when other treatments are unsuitable.

Precautions:
- Avoid use in patients with known hypersensitivity to iodine or amiodarone.
- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless prescribed by a physician.
- Caution in patients with thyroid, lung, or liver disease.
- Regular monitoring of ECG, thyroid, and liver function is required.
Side Effects:
- Nausea, vomiting, or loss of appetite.
- Photosensitivity and skin discoloration.
- Visual disturbances such as blurred vision.
- Pulmonary or thyroid dysfunction with prolonged use.
Drug–Drug Interactions:
- Anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin).
- Beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, and digoxin.
- Other drugs affecting heart rhythm.
- Use only as directed by a physician.
- Take orally with water, preferably at the same time each day.
- Do not stop treatment suddenly without consulting a doctor.
- Protect skin from sunlight during therapy.
