A selective serotonin (5-HT1B/1D) receptor agonist used for the acute treatment of migraine attacks, with or without aura. It works by narrowing dilated cranial blood vessels and reducing inflammation associated with migraines.
Indications:
- Acute treatment of migraine attacks with or without aura.
- Relief of headache, nausea, and phonophobia associated with migraine.
- Not intended for prophylaxis or prevention of migraine attacks.
Main Active Ingredient:
- Sumatriptan succinate equivalent to 50 mg sumatriptan per tablet.
Precautions:
- Not for use in patients with history of ischemic heart disease, stroke, or uncontrolled hypertension.
- Avoid in patients with peripheral vascular disease or severe hepatic impairment.
- Not recommended in patients with hemiplegic, basilar, or ophthalmoplegic migraine.
- Should not be used as prophylaxis for migraine.
- Caution in elderly patients or those with cardiovascular risk factors.
- Pregnancy & breastfeeding: use only if clearly needed and prescribed.
- Do not exceed recommended daily dose.

Drug-Drug Interactions:
- MAO inhibitors.
- SSRIs/SNRIs .
- Ergotamine or ergot-type drugs.
- Other triptans .
- St. John’s Wort .
