A medication used to treat chronic bowel inflammation by gradually releasing an anti-inflammatory agent along the intestinal wall, providing prolonged therapeutic effects at the site of inflammation.Indications:- Treatment of active mild to moderate ulcerative colitis.- Treatment of active Crohn’s disease.- Maintenance of remission in ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.- Relief of symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, and rectal bleeding.Main Active Ingredients:Mesalazine 1gm per tablet.Precautions:- Do not use if allergic to mesalazine, salicylates, or any excipients.- Use caution if you have severe liver or kidney disorders, asthma, or a history of sulfasalazine allergy.- Blood and urine tests may be required during treatment to monitor kidney function.- Drink adequate fluids while taking this medication to prevent kidney stones.- Stop treatment and consult a doctor if serious skin reactions, myocarditis, pericarditis, or severe blood abnormalities occur.- Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.- Store at room temperature, away from moisture and heat.Side Effects:- Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, dizziness.- Severe Skin Reactions (Stevens-Johnson Syndrome).- Severe Skin Reactions (Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis).- Myocarditis.- Pericarditis.- Kidney Problems.- Severe Blood Disorders.Drug-Drug Interactions:- May interact with certain medications; inform your doctor of all concurrent treatments.

- Adults: Usually up to 4GM daily, either once or divided into multiple doses; for maintenance of mild-moderate ulcerative colitis, 2GM once daily.- Children ≥6 years: Dose based on body weight (approximately half the adult dose for children ≤40 kg).- Swallow extended-release tablets whole; do not crush or chew.- Tablets may be dissolved in a little water or juice immediately before intake.- Take regularly, with or without food, at the same time each day.- In case of missed doses, do not double the dose.
