This medicine is an oral anticoagulant medication used to reduce the risk of stroke and blood clots in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation.
Each capsule contains 110 mg of dabigatran etexilate, which is a direct thrombin inhibitor that works by preventing the formation of fibrin, a key component in blood clotting.

Benefits:
-Prevents blood clots in the brain (stroke) and other blood vessels in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. Also, treat blood clots in the veins of the legs and lungs, and help prevent their recurrence.
-Effective in the treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).
-Does not require routine monitoring of coagulation parameters like INR (International Normalized Ratio), unlike warfarin.

Precautions:
-Before taking Bridaxa 110 mg Capsules, consult your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse if you have:
-An increased risk of bleeding.
-A history of heart attack or conditions that increase the risk of heart attack.
-Liver disease associated with abnormal blood test results; dabigatran is not recommended in such cases.
-If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, suspect you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist for advice. Your doctor will discuss the potential risks and Benefits: of using this medication during pregnancy and lactation.
-Inform your doctor or pharmacist about any other medications you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs, prescribed medications, herbal supplements, and vitamins.
-Store at temperatures below 25°C.
-Do not refrigerate.
-Keep this medication out of the sight and reach of children.
-Store in the original container to protect from moisture.
-Do not use after the expiration date on the packaging; the expiration date refers to the last day of the month.

Side Effects:
While not everyone experiences them, some patients may report:
-Decreased hemoglobin levels.
-Abnormal liver function test results.
-Bleeding from the nose, stomach, intestines, urinary tract (including pink or red urine), hemorrhoids, or joints.
-Bruising or hematomas.
-Blood in stool.
-Decreased red blood cell count.
-Allergic reactions.
-Vomiting.

Main Ingredients and Their Benefits:
-Dabigatran binds to the active site on the thrombin molecule, preventing thrombin from activating coagulation factors. It may also have a lesser impact on platelet aggregation induced by thrombin.

-Medidne can be taken with or without food.
-Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water to ensure it reaches the stomach.
-Do not break, chew, or empty the capsule, as this may increase the risk of bleeding.
-For prevention after knee or hip replacement surgery: Recommended dose is 220 mg once daily (two 110 mg capsules).
-For preventing blood clots from irregular heartbeats and treating blood clots: Recommended dose is 300 mg, taken as one 150 mg capsule twice daily.
-Dosages may vary based on specific conditions, so always follow your doctor’s or pharmacist's instructions.
-If you take too much, contact your doctor or go to the hospital immediately.
-If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it’s close to the time for your next dose; do not double up.
