-Main Ingredients & Their Benefits:
-Vitamin A is essential for proper immune function, skin health, and cellular growth and differentiation. In infants, adequate vitamin A intake supports overall growth and development.
-Vitamin D is vital for calcium absorption and bone health. It helps maintain strong bones by promoting the absorption of calcium from the diet. For infants, especially those who are exclusively breastfed, vitamin D supplementation is recommended because breast milk typically contains insufficient amounts of this nutrient.
-Vitamin E acts primarily as an antioxidant in the body, protecting cells from oxidative damage. It also plays a role in immune function and skin health. While vitamin E deficiency is rare in infants due to its presence in various foods (especially vegetable oils), it can occur in premature infants or those with malabsorption issues.
-Vitamin K is essential for blood clotting and bone health. Newborns are born with very low levels of vitamin K because it does not cross the placenta effectively during pregnancy. To prevent serious bleeding disorders such as vitamin K deficiency bleeding (VKDB), newborns are routinely given a one-time intramuscular injection of vitamin K shortly after birth.
