-Dosage Recommendation:
-The usual recommended starting dose for adults with hypertension is 10 mg, but for patients with certain conditions such as renovascular hypertension, salt and/or volume depletion, or severe hypertension, a lower starting dose of 2.5 mg to 5 mg may be appropriate.
-For patients already on diuretics, it is advisable to discontinue the diuretic therapy 2 to 3 days before starting Zestril if possible. If discontinuation isn’t feasible, the initial dose of Zestril should be 5 mg.
-In pediatric patients aged 6–16 years, the initial dose varies based on weight:
-For those weighing 20 to <50 kg, start with 2.5 mg once daily.
-For those weighing ≥50 kg, start with 5 mg once daily.
The maximum dosage for these patients should not exceed 20 mg daily for those weighing 20 to <50 kg, and 40 mg for those weighing ≥50 kg.

-Administration Recommendation:
-Take Zestril at approximately the same time each day.
-It can be taken with or without food; the absorption of the tablets is not affected by food intake.
-The tablets can be swallowed whole or divided into equal doses if needed.
