Azyter is indicated for the local antibacterial curative treatment of conjunctivitis caused by susceptible strains. It is the first 3-day ocular antibiotic prescription-only medicine, requiring only 1 drop 2 times per day for 3 days.
Azyter is effective against the most common organisms causing purulent bacterial conjunctivitis, and Trachomatous conjunctivitis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis. It is licensed for use in children from birth to 17 years and in adults.
