A medication prevents blood clots in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation and treats deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism.

Indications:
- Preventing stroke and systemic embolism in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation.
- Treating deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).
- Reducing the risk of recurrent DVT and PE.

Main Active Ingredient:
- Apixaban 2.5mg.

Precautions:
- Increased risk of bleeding, especially in patients with kidney problems or taking other medications that affect bleeding.
- Not recommended for patients with severe kidney disease or active pathological bleeding.
- Discontinue use if bleeding occurs.
- Monitor kidney function regularly.

Side Effects:
- Bleeding (major or minor).
- Anemia.
- Nausea.
- Headache.
- Fatigue.

Drug-Drug Interactions:
- Anticoagulants .
- Antiplatelet.
- Certain antifungal medications.
- Certain HIV medications .

- Take this medication orally, with or without food, as directed by your healthcare provider. The typical dosage is 2.5mg twice daily. Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your healthcare provider, as this may increase your risk of blood clots.
